Windsor Classic Chorale is looking for an Artistic Director for a minimum commitment of 2 years

Job Description
A mixed voice SATB choir of 28-30 members, the Windsor Classic Chorale performs three concerts each season, including an annual collaboration with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. The WCC also performs with regional and international guest artists on a regular basis. The Artistic Director:
Chooses concert program repertoire and rehearses music for all concerts
With assistance of music librarian, checks availability of music. Orders and secures music from available sources
In consultation with the Board of Directors of the Chorale, contacts and hires guest artists
Auditions choir members
Acts as the Chorale’s representative for media coverage
Participates in development of community outreach programming activities
Attends Board meetings as necessary as an ex officio member
Conducts all regular and dress rehearsals.
Rehearsals
The WCC rehearses on Monday evenings from 7:00pm-9:30pm at the Salvation Army Citadel in south Windsor.
Salary
The position of Artistic Director is strictly a contract for services and not an employment relationship. The contract fee for the position is $10,000 CDN for the full year.
Job Qualifications
Minimum of a Masters degree in Music (or near completion) and significant choral conducting experience working with community based chamber choirs.
Applications must include:

two current letters of reference.

"When I Think of Bridges" Assumption Chapel, Windsor, Ontario, and Christchurch Cranbrook, Bloomfield Hills, MI.
WCC will share the stage again with Measure for Measure a men's chorus from Ypsilanti, Michigan. We will be performing music from the Canadian and American repertoire and featuring a song cycle called "When I Think of Bridges" by B.C.'s Larry Nickel.
